A woman returning to her home was mugged at gunpoint in her own parking garage in Los Angeles's Hancock Park neighborhood. There is now widespread fear after the catastrophe was caught on camera, and many are now concerned about the security of their own houses.

At approximately 8:35 p.m., the individual returned to her condominium in the Hancock Park vicinity, situated close to the junction of Wilshire Boulevard and McCadden Place. Upon exiting her vehicle, an armed man, who appeared to have been waiting for her entered in right behind her and attacked her.

The complete incident was captured by nearby surveillance cameras. The individual can be observed in the footage concealing his face while awaiting the victim in the garage. As she exits her car, he sneaks up on her, whips out a revolver, and steals her wallet. Her wallet reportedly had about $100,000 in cash and jewelry. Immediately after, a vehicle was seen departing with the man inside. The victim was not physically hurt, yet the robbery nonetheless caused panic in the area.

Apparently, the jewelry store owner in Koreatown was the target of the crime. Her shop had been looted days before the Hancock Park tragedy. The Los Angeles Police Department has concluded that the two occurrences are likely related, and that the woman was likely followed from her business to her residence.

The LAPD is conducting an investigation and the video surveillance film is now a crucial piece of evidence. The police are asking the general public for assistance in locating and arresting the individuals and residents are urged to be on high alert.
