Most LAX – Heathrow flights cancelled as London airport closes after blaze

Dozens of flights originating between London’s Heathrow Airport and LAX have been cancelled as the British airport turns away all incoming air traffic Friday due to a fire nearby. The disruption has raised questions about the resiliency of Britain’s infrastructure. “I know the situation in Heathrow is causing distress and disruption, especially for those travelling or without power in their homes,” said British Prime Minister Keir

The United States State Department issued a Level 3 travel advisory for Nicaragua, warning Americans to reconsider visits to the Central American nation due to risks including arbitrary law enforcement and potential targeting of U.S. citizens. The advisory affects the cruise port of San Juan del Sur, previously a destination for major cruise lines, though current sailings have already been adjusted to exclude the port. According to State Department officials, “In the past year, the Government of Nicaragua has subjected U.S. citizens to arbitrary entry and exit bans, expulsions, arrests, revocations of Nicaraguan citizenship, and other actions.”  The agency detailed

Flight Hack: Why Travelers Are Playing 'Check-in Chicken' to Score Better Seats

A new strategy called “Check-in Chicken” is emerging among air travelers seeking premium airplane seats without the premium price tag, though aviation experts warn the approach carries risks. The trend, which has gained significant traction on social media platforms, involves deliberately postponing online check-in until the last possible moment. The theory? Frontier's GoWild Pass Comes With Major Hidden Restrictions

Frontier Airlines’ all-you-can-fly GoWild pass has delivered frustration instead of flexibility for some customers who purchased the $699 travel deal. The GoWild pass allows unlimited flights, domestic or international, over a three-month period. But the pass comes with major restrictions that Frontier does not proactively advertise, leaving some feeling misled. The biggest constraint is that GoWild pass holders cannot book domestic flights more than 24 hours before departure. They can reserve international flights up to 10 days out. This limited advance booking window has made it impossible for some pass holders to plan trips and book preferred flights. Denise Smith,
